Most Group or private skating instruction. Beginner Varies These are usually oriented towards the figure skater or recreational skater. Look for an instructor who is proficient, and capable of developing a hockey player rather than a figure skater.  Keith Tindall at Ice Line is a good choice.

Most Ice Rinks can guide you in the selection of courses or advise on the availability of private instruction.  When taken in context, private lessons by a skilled instructor can sometimes be more cost effective and productive than a school or clinic.

Schools and clinics often do not provide enough time for a student to become proficient in what they have learned.  Open hockey and public skating can provide the ice time needed to practice what has been taught.
